Now that’s more like it.

I had a romanticised view of cooking on the road that finally began to come into fruition once we got into Romania. Our first night there, we free camped at the tiny riverside town of Ilia. We pulled up Bumblebee in a flat spot under some trees, pulled out the table and chairs and some delicious looking produce we’d picked up in Budapest and I got to cooking. As the sun got low over the river we started to feel like our holiday had really gotten started. Plus I think it was the first meal we’d had from Bumblebee that actually had two different components instead of an all in one bowl type of dish. Mushroom and almond pilaf with a lemony radish, celeriac and fennel salad. And of course a Cuba Libre to boot.
